About the event
MONTGOMERY, Ala. — The General Council of Pastors and Elders of the Church of God in Christ (COGIC), in partnership with SALUTE SELMA, Inc., will present the 2026 Community Impact Town Hall on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at The NEST on the campus of Alabama State University.
This free community event will bring together national faith leaders, elected officials, HBCU presidents, mayors, civil rights advocates, legal experts and community organizations for an afternoon dedicated to civic engagement, education, voting rights, leadership, economic opportunity and community action.
The program will begin with an invitation-only VIP Reception from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m., followed by the Community Impact Town Hall from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m.
